Lethal means safety is an intentional\, voluntary practice to reduce one's suicide risk by limiting access to those lethal means. In the military-connected community\, firearms is the #1 method used in suicide deaths. It allows the provider and patient the ability to collaboratively develop a plan on how to limit access to those means\, until the risk subsides.\n\nLearning Objectives:\n\n1. Discuss the current data regarding suicide in the military-connected community\n\n2. Identify what are the lethal means and examine why it is important to reduce access to them\n\n3.
