DESCRIPTION:Celebrate Earth Day at the Liriodendron Mansion with The Harford County Master Gardeners and a special living history performance by Colleen Webster as Silent Spring author Rachel Carson.\n\nThe program begins at noon on Friday\, April 22\, with a special live portrayal of Rachel Carson - the scientist\, author\, and activist whose work ignited the modern environmental movement.\n\nAfterward\, the Harford County Master Gardeners will share their knowledge and expertise including:\n\n1:00 pm Tree planting with Bridges Montessori School - Tree donated by the Harford County Forestry Board\n\n1:30 pm Partner with the Pollinators presentation with Diane Mitchell\n\n2:30 - 4:00 pm Guided tours of the Larry Franz Woodland Walk with Anne Lee\n\nInformation tables and "Ask a Master Gardener" throughout the day.\n\nAll programming is free\, but reservations are required for the Rachel Carson performance.
