DESCRIPTION:Loyola University Maryland is hosting its annual Women in Sports Day to celebrate the achievements of female athletes\, and demonstrate the benefits of female involvement in athletics. Athletes and coaches from all of Loyola's women's athletic teams will join girls in kindergarten through eighth grade for a day of activities\, including interactive sports stations\, autographs sessions\, photo booths\, free food\, sign making and much more. To encourage girls to participate in athletics\, Loyola's female athletes will share their personal experiences with sports and why it's important to get involved. Following the afternoon's activities\, all participants are invited to watch the Loyola women's basketball team free of charge as they take on Lafayette College at 2:00 p.m. in Reitz Arena. After the game\, fans have the opportunity to receive autographs from the Loyola women's basketball team.
