50th Season in 2026-2027: 50 Seasons of Sound & Community
Celebrating Our Golden Season!
The Susquehanna Symphony’s Golden (50th) Season will begin with compositions we have performed in the past and composers with whom we have had a close relationship: African American composer William Grant Still; friends to the SSO Amanda Harberg and Kile Smith; and Sir Malcolm Arnold, our guest in March of 2000. The works by Vaughan Williams and Fauré were performed at the Orchestra’s very first concert! We welcome back guest vocalist Carolyn Black-Sotir; JoAnna Cochenet joins to conduct two works.

Ralph Vaughan Williams, arr. Gordon Jacobs – English Folk Song Suite
Gabriel Fauré – Pavane
JoAnna Cochenet, Conductor
Sheldon Bair – The Homefront 1944

Sir Malcolm Arnold – Four Cornish Dances, Op. 91
