Sales Manager

Advance is seeking an experienced Sales Manager to develop, lead and motivate the sales team at our beautiful location in Rockville. You will be an individual who is equally passionate about helping your team thrive and your customers businesses grow. This position reports directly to the Director of Sales Operations. Advance provides the support and training you need to personally and professionally succeed in this role.

ON A TYPICAL DAY YOU WILL 

  • Grow territory revenue and optimize profit within existing base and new business opportunities
  • Lead new business development and growth initiatives within the region
  • Work with account representatives to establish and work towards the achievement of monthly sales goals for hardware, document management software, printer fleet management, and professional services
  • Drive sales results through individual and team activity
  • Support the utilization of Advance’s sales tools, methodologies and best practices     

WHO YOU ARE 

  • People oriented with excellent communication, negotiation and interpersonal skills    
  • Team player with a positive attitude and mindset
  • Caring about customers, team members and the community
  • 5 years proven success in B2B prospecting, cold calling and closing in a competitive market
  • Minimum 2 years of experience managing a sales team (3-5 reps)
  • Track record of over-achieving quota
  • Strong knowledge of business equipment and technology sales (preferred)
  • BA/BS degree or equivalent
