Description
Introducing the NEW Chamber Olympics Challenge!
If you are familiar with our past event, Chamber Olympics, then you may also be interested in this brand new event, reimagined to keep your safety in mind while still preserving the fun! Now more than ever we have to champion creative new ways to continue our traditions year after year!
Cue the 2020 Chamber Olympics Challenge! This year's event will be a weeklong amazing race/scavenger hunt style team competition that is open to the entire community! You do NOT have to be a Chamber member to participate- you can compete as a family!
The Challenge will highlight businesses, organizations, and landmarks around the county; it will encourage team building; and it will provide our community with some safe, socially-distanced approved fun!
The weeklong challenge will take place starting Saturday, November 7th and teams will have until midnight on Saturday, November 14th to complete a series of challenges. Teams of four will compete in challenges throughout the county and online to score the most overall points for the top prize. The event will culminate with a virtual event to announce the winners!
Grand Prize Winning Teams will receive $100 cash and giftcards to local business!
Other prizes include giftcards, gift baskets, and takeaways from participating sponsors!
For examples of challenges you could expect:
- Drive by your local County Harford Chamber of Commerce to correctly answer which restaurant neighbors the Chamber's building?
- Did you know that the Concord Point Lighthouse was constructed in 1827? Locate this landark in Havre de Grace and take a picture with it!
- Visit the Harford County Chamber website and search to find the name of the Chamber's podcast show.
- It's a Olympic Challenge Event! Get your bat and baseball/softball and video a short clip of one of your teammates successfully hitting a pitch!
