Would you like to create a valuable, nutritious soil amendment that you can use in your own gardens? Do you wish you could have a compost pile but you don't have enough outdoor space to do so? If you answered yes to any of these questions, then VERMICOMPOSTING might be the answer! Join Ruth Eisenhour and Melanie Kane, two Harford Glen teachers with many years of compost experience, for VERMICOMPOSTING 101 on April 1 from 10am-noon in the Wildlife Room. You will build a vermicompost bin to take home, learn how to harvest vermicompost, get up close and personal with your own red wiggler worms, and explore the world of sustainability through composting. Class Fee: $20, which includes all worm bin materials and compost worms Class size limited to twenty people To reserve your spot please e-mail your name and a contact number to secretary@harfordglenfoundation.org .
