Description
During these unprecedented times, the health of Marylanders is of prime importance. However, we cannot ignore the fiscal impact COVID-19 is having on businesses and families across the state. As Maryland’s Chief Fiscal Officer, Comptroller Peter Franchot is keeping a focused eye on the economic data coming in from across the state. His office is keeping the governor and the legislature appraised of the numbers and the economic forecast for the future. Join Comptroller Franchot for a virtual roundtable where he will discuss the economic impact of COVID-19, the outlook for Maryland’s economy and his thoughts moving forward. He will also give a preview of the new integrated tax system his agency is creating that will drastically improve the customer experience at the Comptroller’s Office. This new system, once fully implemented, will add new online options, speed up service and offer world class security for all your transactions. There will be time for questions and answers, so please be ready to participate.
