Are you passionate about food preparation and working in a fun, team-oriented environment? Divergent Donuts is seeking a Part-Time Sandwich Artist to join our growing team. This role combines hands-on food preparation with teamwork and creativity to deliver exceptional customer experiences. 

Key Responsibilities

    •    Sandwich Preparation: Prepare and assemble sandwiches, bagels, and other menu items with precision, ensuring consistency in portion sizes, presentation, and quality.

    •    Ingredient Knowledge: Understand the proper handling, storage, and use of ingredients while maintaining high food quality and freshness.

    •    Health & Safety Compliance: Follow all Maryland health and safety regulations, including proper food handling, cleanliness, and sanitation protocols.

    •    Donut Assistance: Occasionally assist with donut glazing, decorating, and morning preparation to ensure our full menu is ready at opening.

    •    Morning Prep: Contribute to morning kitchen setup, ensuring all prep work is completed on time, including ingredient organization and equipment readiness.

    •    Inventory & Organization: Monitor ingredient levels, restock supplies, and assist with inventory management to prevent food waste.

    •    Team Collaboration: Work closely with other team members, fostering a positive and collaborative work environment while stepping in to assist wherever needed.

    •    Customer Engagement: Provide friendly, knowledgeable, and professional service, answering customer inquiries and offering recommendations.

    •    Problem Solving: Be resourceful and proactive in resolving kitchen challenges and introducing ideas to improve operations.

Requirements

    •    Weekend availability is required.

    •    Proven ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining high-quality standards.

    •   Solid understanding of food safety protocols (knowledge of Maryland health regulations is preferred).

    •    Willingness to learn about new ingredients, techniques, and menu offerings.

    •    Ability to occasionally assist with donut preparation, including glazing and decorating.

    •    Strong teamwork skills with a proactive and collaborative attitude.

    •    Smart, resourceful, and organized with excellent problem-solving abilities.

    •    Fun, positive personality with a genuine desire to help teammates and customers alike.

    •    Diligent, dependable, and detail-oriented in every aspect of the job.

Preferred Qualifications

    •    Prior experience in food service, sandwich-making, or bakery work is a plus but not required.

    •    Familiarity with bagels, sandwiches, and creative food presentation techniques.

    •    Ability to offer menu suggestions based on customer preferences or dietary needs.
