    1. Details:
      1. FLSA: Full-Time, Regular Salary, Exempt
      2. Schedule: Monday – Friday, 0800hrs – 1630hrs
      3. Location: On-Site, Aberdeen, MD 21001
      4. Supervisory: No
    2. Key Roles:
      1. Conduct visual, dimensional, and functional inspections on raw materials, in-process components, and finished products. Perform First Article Inspection Reports (FAIRs) as required; Responsible for incoming, in-process, and outgoing inspections and documentation. Inspect labeling, packaging, and documentation for accuracy and compliance with requirements
      2. Perform detailed inspections of electro-mechanical assemblies, wiring harnesses, circuit boards, and integrated components to verify compliance with technical drawings and workmanship standards
      3. Establish and maintain rigorous quality standards for electro-mechanical products and components
      4. Read and interpret blueprints, specifications, and technical documentation to verify manufacturing processes meet defined production standards
      5. Perform assembly of printed circuit boards (PCBs) using surface mount (SMT) and through-hole techniques per the approved Work Instructions (WI)
      6. Examine, test, and operate assembled components following approved WIs to verify the functionality of completed assemblies
      7. Assist Deputy Director of Quality (DDQ) with ensuring Electronic Assemblers (EAs) and Testers adhere to Military Standard (MIL-STD)-2000, MIL-STD-202G, and MIL-STD-750D, and Veritech by-product WI
      8. Review EA's submitted documentation (i.e., recorded assembly steps, inspection results, etc.) for quality tracking in accordance with the internal Quality Management System (QMS) Team and International Organization for Standardization (ISO) 9001:2015 standards
      9. Assist DDQ in ensuring EAs solder to industry standards and follow electrostatic discharge (ESD) safety practices
      10. Assist DDQ with 5S/Foreign Object Debris (FOD) program management
      11. Assist DDQ and Director of Security (DoS) with International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) and Cybersecurity Maturity Model Certification (CMMC) compliances
      12. Assist DDQ and DoS with Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) compliances and annual training
      13. Utilize and support the QMS Team with administrative filing of QA Inspector-related O365 QMS Mailbox materials to appropriate folders and associated SharePoint (SP) location
      14. Utilize precision inspection tools including Coordinate Measurement Machine (CMM), calipers, gauges, micrometers, multimeters, and other measurement instruments relevant to electro-mechanical and electronic manufacturing
      15. Investigate and document defects, deviations, or non-conformances, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement effective corrective actions
      16. Participate in periodic audits of manufacturing processes and documentation to ensure regulatory compliance and adherence to internal quality standards
      17. Engage actively in design and production reviews, providing input on quality considerations, inspection requirements, and manufacturing feasibility
      18. Maintain accurate and detailed inspection records for Process Failure Mode and Effects Analyses (PFMEAs), Control Plans, etc.
      19. Perform other duties as assigned
    3. Basic Qualifications:
      1. Associate’s degree in Quality Control, Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Technology, or a related field, or relevant certification, with a minimum of +three (3) years of demonstrated experience in a equivalent or similar role
      2. Demonstrated experience with interpreting electro-mechanical technical drawings and schematics
      3. Demonstrated experience using an Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system and inspection tools/techniques
      4. Demonstrated experience with  ISO 9001:2015 or other industry-specify quality systems
      5. Maintain highly organized and detailed records
      6. Strong proficiency with Microsoft Office tools
      7. Familiarity with Institute for Printed Circuits (IPC)-610 standards and IPC/WHMA-A-620 for cable and wire harness assemblies
      8. Hands-on experience with Surface Mount Technology (SMT) and through-hole soldering techniques
      9. IPC J-STD-001 (Soldered Electrical and Electrical Assembly) Certification
      10. Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and schematics
      11. Strong visual acuity for inspecting small components and the ability to perform repetitive tasks with precision
      12. Experience working in a manufacturing building environment
    4. Preferred Qualifications:
      1. Certification as a Quality Inspector, Quality Engineer, Quality Technician (e.g., ASQ CQI)
      2. Bachelor’s degree in Quality Control, Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Technology, or a related field, or relevant certification, with a minimum of +6 years of demonstrated experience in an equivalent or similar role
      3. Experience conducting or participating in audits for quality assurance compliance
      4. Experience with ERP system, Deltek
      5. Experience with Military Standard (MIL-STD)-2000, MIL-STD-202G, and MIL-STD-750D
      6. Certification in Institute for Printed Circuits (IPC) J-STD-001 and familiarity with IPC-A-610 standards
      7. Familiarity with ESD handling procedures
      8. IPC A-610 (Acceptability of Electronic Assemblies) Certification
      9. IPC 7711/7721 (Rework and Repair of Electronic Assemblies) Certification
