Harford Chamber Announces Harford Award Recipients, Celebrates Shining Stars of Business at 33rd Annual Ceremony
Bel Air, MD – Members of the Harford County business community and local dignitaries gathered for the 33rd annual Harford Award on Monday, October 20th at Water’s Edge Events Center. The prestigious award honors companies and organizations which exemplify a strong commitment to the Harford County business community. Recipients are chosen through a nomination/application process focused on business growth, increased employment, unique and creative business strategies, technology innovation, and charitable contributions.
Chris Stone, founder of E-Moxie and current Harford County Chamber of Commerce Board Chair, offered welcome remarks. Bob Bloom, Past Chair of the Chamber Board, served as the event emcee and welcomed dignitaries in attendance. County Executive Bob Cassilly shared remarks and his congratulations to the recipients alongside Aaron Rabinowitz, University of Maryland Upper Chesapeake Health; Dr. Theresa Felder, Harford Community College; and Bob Bloom, WXCY 103.7; who also shared sponsor remarks.
The Harford County Chamber of Commerce is proud to present the 2025 Harford Award Recipients: Harford Bank (Andy Klein Legacy Award), Fuller & Associates Insurance (Entrepreneurial Spirit), Hopkins Farm Brewery (Hospitality/Tourism), Arrow Child & Family Ministries (Non-Profit), Emerald Technical Solutions (R&D/Technology), Ashley Addiction Treatment (Community Impact), Modular Components National (Manufacturing/ Distribution), and The Kelly Group (Double Celestial Service). In addition to the recipients receiving the Harford Award, each recipient received a citation from the Maryland Department of Commerce, Harford County Executive Cassilly, and the Harford County Council.
The Andy Klein Legacy Award recognizes those individuals and businesses showing consistent and continual dedication to our county. Aside from Andy Klein being well-known in the community for serving as President of Klein's Family Markets, Andy was well-respected for his philanthropic contributions, a giving man of his time, expertise, and resources. Andy Klein embodied the fabric of Harford County - faith, family, and community. The 2025 Andy Klein Legacy Harford Award Recipient is Harford Bank. With over 60 years in Harford County, Harford Bank combines the local community with years of financial knowledge. Harford Bank’s impact goes far beyond banking, with over 5,000 hours of volunteer service in 2024 and over $100,000 donated to local nonprofits. The Harford County Chamber of Commerce is honored to award Harford Bank the Andy Klein Legacy Award for their enduring leadership, service, and commitment.
Fuller & Associates Insurance was awarded the Harford Award in the Entrepreneurial Spirit category. Fuller & Associates growth since 2008 demonstrates the power of what can happen when determination meets community - a thriving local business that supports the local economy. With revenue growth year after year and a team dedicated to client and community success, the Harford County Chamber of Commerce is proud to recognize Fuller & Associates Insurance as a 2025 Harford Award Recipient.
The Hopkins family has been farming in Harford County since 1926 and in 2020, the family opened the doors of Hopkins Farm Brewery as a way to continue the family farm through the passions of the next generation. The brewery has not only seen a 20% increase in sales since opening but has attracted thousands of residents and visitors through numerous events throughout the years. Hopkins Farm Brewery is more than a destination; it is an experience that highlights the very best of Harford’s hospitality. Hopkins Farm Brewery was awarded the Harford Award in the Hospitality/Tourism category for their excellent service and continued growth.
Arrow Child & Family Ministries received the Harford Award in the Nonprofit category. Celebrating 25 years in Harford County, Arrow Child & Family Ministries serves over 100 students with educational special needs, 25 homes for children aging out of foster care, and 88 families through their family center treatment program. Arrow Child & Family Ministries has seen exponential growth in Harford County thanks to partnerships with county government, leaders, and members of the community. The Harford County Chamber of Commerce proudly recognizes Arrow Child & Family Ministries as a 2025 Harford Award recipient for their unwavering commitment to the Harford County community.
Emerald Technical Solutions is the recipient of the Harford Award in the R&D/Technology category. Since its inception in 2020, Emerald Technical Solutions has increased its revenue by 400%, now supporting several federal agencies in mission critical operations in cloud engineering, cyber security, and geospatial technologies. Emerald Technical Solutions prioritizes local hiring of Harford County veterans and students from technical programs, implementing the Defense Interns program in partnership with Harford County Public Schools.
Ashley Addiction Treatment began as a residential program for treatment of substance use disorders and has rapidly expanded to now offer non-residential and behavioral health services, inpatient and outpatient programs, and extended care services. Ashley Addiction Treatment recently created several new programs to benefit at-risk youth and help recovering patients prepare for the workforce, serving over 2,000 people annually. The Harford County Chamber of Commerce is honored to present Ashley Addiction Treatment with the 2025 Harford Award for their continued commitment to the health of our community.
Modular Components National was awarded the Harford Award in the Manufacturing/ Distribution category. Modular Components National came to Maryland in the 1980s and through strategic acquisiting, was able to grow to a national company, based in and on Harford County’s business community. Their in-house designed manufacturing enhancements and unique technologies give them a competitive edge while still remaining committed to the local workforce. Modular Components National partnered with Harford County Public Schools’ apprenticeship program to educate and train the next generation to drive innovation forward.
The Kelly Group was recognized with the Double Celestial Service Harford Award for their dedication, trust, and care given to the Harford County community through their financial planning services. Opened in 1997, The Kelly Group has grown to serve nearly 1,100 households in 35 states. The Kelly Group fosters the belief of “neighbors helping neighbors” through their services, educational courses, and community impact. The Kelly Group aims to serve Harford County families for generations, with integrity at the core of all that they do.
