Harford County Chamber of Commerce Celebrates 50 Year
Anniversary
Bel Air, MD – On March 4, 2026, the Harford County Chamber of Commerce reached a historic milestone, celebrating the 50th anniversary of its incorporation. To mark five decades of service, the Chamber hosted a commemorative "Golden Anniversary Ribbon Cutting & Membership Social," bringing together business leaders, community partners, and local officials to honor the organization’s enduring legacy and vibrant
future.

Since its founding in 1976, the Harford County Chamber of Commerce has served as the premier voice for business in the region. With a mission to foster a healthy economic climate through advocacy, education, and connectivity, the Harford Chamber has grown into one of the largest and most active business organizations in Maryland. For 50 years, it has remained dedicated to championing pro-business legislation, providing
professional development and creating meaningful networking opportunities for local businesses and nonprofits.

The celebration on March 4th served as a reflection on the Harford Chamber’s journey from a group of businessmen meeting above a pharmacy, to the vibrant membership organization it is today, proudly supporting over 720 local businesses and nonprofits. Members and partners gathered for a ribbon cutting ceremony unveiling the newly renovated Harford Chamber office and a celebratory networking social afterwards.

“This anniversary is not just a celebration of the Chamber as an organization, but a celebration of the incredible business community that makes Harford County a premier place to live, work, and play,” said Angela Rose, President & CEO of the Harford County Chamber of Commerce. “Our success over the last half-century is a direct result of the passion and commitment of our members; this is YOUR Chamber.”
