Jones Junction is kicking off its 109th year the way many dealers dream of with a pair of honors that say as much about its customers and community as they do about its balance sheet. Named to the inaugural Forbes Best-in-State Companies list and voted Best of Harford for Sales and Service for the 21st consecutive year, the 12-store Bel Air campus is leaning into a simple playbook—people, community, and long-term loyalty.
Walk the Jones Junction campus on any given weekday and the awards are easy to spot, but the story shows up more quietly in the service lanes and showrooms. Sales consultants who sold a customer their first car are now helping that same family’s kids pick out their first vehicles, and factory-certified technicians know many customers by name because they have been servicing the same VINs for years. Programs like Jones for a Lifetime and Jones for a Cause grew out of that history, turning service visits into relationships and community sponsorships into multi-year commitments.
“Our formula hasn’t really changed in more than a century: build the right team, give them the right tools and technology, and never lose sight of the community that built you,” said Danny Jones, CEO and owner of Jones Junction. “These recognitions are meaningful, but what matters most is knowing our neighbors trust us enough to come back generation after generation.”
That trust is reflected both in everyday interactions and in how the honors themselves were earned. Best of Harford is driven directly by customer votes, while Forbes’ Best-in-State recognition is based on a broad review of company performance, reputation, and workplace practices. The awards mirror the same pattern the Jones team sees daily—customers returning for service, employees engaging locally, and long-term relationships.
“For us, success has always been about being a partner in people’s daily lives, not just the place they go when they need a new car,” added Bryan Kilby, president and owner of Jones Junction. “If our team is taking care of customers the right way and we’re investing in Harford County’s future, recognitions like Best-in-State and Best of Harford will follow.”
