News Release: Jones Junction’s Season of Giving Rolls into the New Year

From school supplies to warm winter essentials, Jones Junction continues to show up for Harford County families

BEL AIR, MD – January 30, 2025 - At Jones Junction, community support isn’t something that happens once a year—it’s a steady commitment that shows up in practical, meaningful ways every day of the year.

As the season of giving rolls from the holidays into the New Year, Jones Junction and its dealership teams are continuing to partner with local organizations to deliver the kinds of essentials that make a real difference for children, families, and neighbors across Harford County: shoes, socks, pajamas, toys, school supplies, and critical support for families navigating cancer.

On January 21, Bel Air Subaru, part of Jones Junction, and The Y in Central Maryland joined with Operation Warm, a national nonprofit that provides brand new coats, shoes, and socks to children in need and to provide more than 500 brand new pairs of shoes and socks to students through a hands-on shopping experience designed to help kids feel comfortable, confident, and ready to learn.

The January 21 event is just the latest example of how Jones Junction continues showing up with their Jones for a Cause initiative; supporting local non-profits to provide resources to the surrounding community they serve:

  • Harford County Education Foundation's Stuff the Bus School Supply Drive: Jones Toyota served as a community drop-off site, helping students start the school year with much needed school supplies
  • Harford Family House Pajama Drive: Jones employees donated 66 pairs of pajamas for children
  • Harford County Sheriff’s Office Annual Toy Drive: Jones and its customers donated truckloads of toys, helping brighten the holidays for local children
  • Empty Stocking Fund of Harford County: Jones contributed $10,000, supporting a long-standing effort that provides toys, food, and clothing for children and seniors during the holiday season
  • Paint the Town Pink: Jones helped raise over $26,000 in support of Cancer LifeNet at the Kaufman Cancer Center, part of UM Upper Chesapeake Health
  • Honoring Hope: American Cancer Society Evening of Hope + Hope Lodge Baltimore: Jones Junction’s contributed $25,000 to support in the development of the future Hope Lodge Baltimore, providing free lodging to cancer patients and caregivers traveling long distances for treatment
“For generations, Jones Junction has been part of this community, and with that comes a responsibility to give back in meaningful ways,” said Danny Jones, CEO of Jones Junction. “Supporting local organizations that care for kids, families, and neighbors isn’t an initiative for us—it’s simply part of who we are.”

“Our employees take pride in working for a company that reinvests in the community. When our community is strong, our business is strong—and that’s been true for more than 109 years,” said Bryan Kilby, President Jones Junction Automotive Group. “We stand alongside the local nonprofits and partners who do the important work of supporting kids, families, and neighbors across Harford County and beyond.”

Jones Junction remains committed year-round to meeting real needs at the right time and in the right way—because in this community, Jones’ focus is to strengthen and uplift the community and make a real difference.
