Description

"It's Time to Start Your Garden" is the theme of the April 13 episode of "Chesapeake Farm & Bay to Table," a virtual series produced by Harford County Public Library and Chef John Shields' Our Common Table, that highlights Maryland farms, fisheries and local businesses. The program will be presented via Zoom from 7 to 8 p.m.

This episode focuses on how you can work your green thumb by planting and growing a small herb garden without a lot of land. Baltimore City Master Gardeners will share how to plan and pick the best herbs for specific environments. Chef John Shields and Library CEO Mary Hastler will stop by Max’s Degrees--the Spice Guys, at the 32nd Street Farmers Market, to learn about the wonders of dried herbs and various blends.

Returning to the kitchen, Chef John and Mary will prepare a classic herb-encrusted chicken with rosemary potatoes along with an array of herby treats.

To sign up to view "It's Time to Start Your Garden," visit HCPLonline.org. Advanced registration, including a valid email address, is requested. Once registered, participants will receive a confirmation email from Zoom with a link to the program and a unique password to access the event.
