Description

The COVID-19 pandemic has abruptly changed our lives and our businesses. For some businesses, the show must go on, and others will wait until they can resume operations. Regardless of which camp you are in, this is the time to create a crisis communications strategy for your business or to dust it off if you already have one. A crisis communication plan outlines how you will communicate with your customers, employees, and vendors when the world has been turned upside down by internal or external events. During this one-hour seminar we will discuss the elements of communicating during a crisis. A simple crisis communications plan template will be shared and we'll help you adapt it for your business.

Joan Michel has 25 years of experience helping federal, state, and local governments develop, plan, and implement strategic initiatives and is passionate about helping her clients create exceptional organizations. Through her firm Profile Partners  Joan provides change management consulting services to clients ranging from large government agencies and non-profits, to school systems and small commercial firms. Prior to launching Profile Partners, Joan was director of communications at an Army research and development laboratory in Maryland and provided crisis communications support to other federal agencies, including Defense Telecommunications Service and Department of Homeland Security. Joan is currently pursuing a master’s/PhD in Organization Development and Change.
