HRIS Administrator

Are you passionate about leveraging technology to optimize HR processes? Harford Community College is seeking an HRIS Administrator to support and maintain our HRIS applications and modules. In this role, you will be responsible for gathering and analyzing data, providing support to individual users, and collaborating with cross-departmental teams to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of our HR systems.
Responsibilities include:


SYSTEM OVERSIGHT

  • Oversees and maintains optimal function of the HRIS, which may include installation, customization, development, maintenance, and upgrade to applications, systems, and modules.
  • Analyzes the impact of system upgrades through monitoring and testing
  • Manages permissions, access, personalization, and similar system operations and settings for HRIS users.
  • Programs custom functions and documentation such as automated queries, filters, macros, and reports.
  • Completes and improves functions by designing and developing scripts and programs.
  • Ensures system compliance with data security, privacy and regulatory requirements.
  • Maintains knowledge of trends and developments in HRIS providers, vendors, and technology.
DATA MANAGEMENT
  • Collects and compiles HR metrics and data from a variety of sources including the human resource information system (HRIS) and payroll outputs, management and employee surveys, exit interviews, employment records, government labor statistics, competitors practices, and other sources.
  • Analyzes data and statistics for trends and patterns with attention to recruitment, hiring practices, motivation, turnover, and compliance with employment laws and regulations.
  • Compiles or assists with the creation of complex data reports, dashboards, summaries, and logs for senior executives and HR staff.
  • Prepares reports of data results, presenting and explaining findings to senior leadership.
  • Identifies and recommends reasonable short- and long-term goals, milestones, and benchmarks for key performance metrics.
  • Organize data into manageable segments; cleanses data to eliminate any errors and create more meaningful analyses
  • Prepare clear, readable reports of findings
 
USER SUPPORT/COLLABORATION
  • Collaborates with executive leadership and HR staff to identify system improvements and enhancements; recommends and implements solutions.
  • Serves as lead representative and liaison between HR, ITS, external vendors, and other stakeholders for HRIS design and implementation projects.
  • Provides technical support, troubleshooting, and guidance to HRIS users.
  • Facilitates implementation of new training, development, recruiting, and other related initiatives.
  • Ensures compliance with data privacy regulations and best practices.
  • May assist with performance, benefit, and compensation review and evaluation processes.
  • Performs other duties as required.
REQUIRED EXPERIENCE
  • A minimum of three years’ work experience as a Developer or Programmer is required.
  • Experience working with an HRIS or ERP is also required.
