- Title: Electro-Mechanical Technician (EM Tech), Junior - Intermediate

- Position Description:
- The EM Tech performs assembly and fabrication tasks for full system and/or subassembly production or rapid prototype builds. This role requires very high attention to detail and hands-on proficiency in precision soldering and mechanical assembly for product with small parts in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
- Key Duties and Roles:
- Perform production assembly, soldering, and manufacturing tasks in accordance with all applicable production documentation, procedures, and standards (such as drawings, schematics, instructions, etc.) using a variety of tools, equipment, and fixtures
- Meet or exceed all production quotas (Line of Balance) and report production outputs
- Ensure all required production documentation is completed and accurate
- Perform rework for any non-conforming product.
- Perform support tasks for other departments such as assembly material kitting, product testing, inventory discrepancy resolutions, prototype manufacturing, research and development (R&D) tasks and product quality issues
- Establish, maintain, and break down production lines as assigned to meet production demands.
- Maintain a clean and organized workplace in accordance with all internal and external requirements
- Provide consistent/efficient communications and work with several managers, technicians, and operators between departments to better identify deficiencies and aid in production improvements

- Basic Qualifications:
- Minimum two (2) years of soldering experience
- Minimum two (2) years of mechanical assembly experience
- Ability to read and comprehend technical documentation including Work/Test Instructions, Mechanical Drawings, Electrical Schematics, and Diagrams
- Proficiency with soldering equipment, hand tools, electrical rework equipment, and inspection tools
- Experience using torque drivers, calibrated tools, and assembly fixtures
- Ability to diagnose/problem solve basic electrical or mechanical failures
- Beginner to Intermediate computer skills with Microsoft Office (MS) products (Outlook, Word, Excel, Teams, Projects)
- Familiarity with electrostatic discharge (ESD)-safe lab environments and best practices
- Preferred Qualifications
- Current IPC-A-610 (Acceptability of Electronic Assemblies) certification
- Current J-STD-001 (Requirements for Soldered Electrical and Electronic Assemblies) certification
- Current IPC/WHMA-A-620 (Cable and Wire Harness Assemblies) certification
- Prior Class 3 Soldering Experience
- Experience working in International Organization for Standardization (ISO) 9001 or Department of Defense (DoD)-compliant manufacturing environment
- Travel:
- Up to five (5)% Continental United States (CONUS) travel is required
