- Key Roles:
- Maintain and continuously adjust the Master Demand Schedule (MDS), forecasts, and sales orders within Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP)/Material Requirements Planning (MRP) systems to align with changing requirements
- Plan, direct, and coordinate production schedules, priorities, and workflow to meet delivery, quality, and budget targets
- Collaborate with Supply Chain to procure materials, manage inventory, and support shipping/receiving to ensure uninterrupted production flow
- Partner with Program Management Office (PMO), Quality Assurance (QA), and Testing Teams to meet delivery schedules, maintain quality standards, and resolve product issues through established processes [i.e. non-conformance, Return Merchandize Authorizations (RMAs), corrective actions]
- Monitor production performance metrics (output, downtime, defects) and generate reports to drive data-based decisions and improvements
- Ensure availability of raw materials, tools, and equipment to optimize production efficiency and minimize delays or waste
- Lead, train, and motivate production staff to maintain performance, resolve issues, and ensure adherence to Company processes and procedures
- Coordinate cross-functionally with Engineering, Maintenance, Logistics, Quality, and Operations Teams to ensure alignment and prevent production delays
- Identify inefficiencies and implement process improvements using Lean Manufacturing and Continuous Improvement (CIP) methodologies to reduce cost and increase productivity
- Enforce compliance with safety regulations [i.e. Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA), International Organization for Standardization (ISO) 9001:2015 standards, and internal procedures]
- Promote and maintain 5S and Foreign Object Debris (FOD) prevention practices to support a clean, organized, and safe work environment
- Assist with bill of material (BOM) creation, validation, and maintenance for various product configurations
- Perform other duties as assigned
- Basic Qualifications:
- Associate’s degree in Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing, Operations Management, Business, or a related field, or equivalent experience
- Three (3)+ years of experience in a similar manufacturing, production, or operations role
- Experience using ERP/MRP systems for planning and scheduling
- Familiarity with ISO 9001:2015 or similar quality management systems
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail and accurate recordkeeping
- Ability to operate material handling equipment (i.e. forklifts, pallet jacks)
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications
- Preferred Qualifications
- Certification such as: Production and Inventory Management (APICS CPIM), Certified Supply Chain Professional (CSCP), Certified Professional in Supply Management (ISM CPSM), Project Management Professional (PMP)
- Six (6)+ years of demonstrated experience in an equivalent or similar role
- Hands-on experience with production line support and troubleshooting
- Travel: Minimal, local travel less than ten (10) % of the year
