About Us

SSGI Benefits is a Decker family-owned, independent employee benefits agency helping employers control costs, strengthen retention, and give employees a better benefits experience.

We advise businesses on group health insurance, ICHRA and defined-contribution strategies, Maryland FAMLI planning and private-plan guidance, dental, vision, life, disability, voluntary benefits, and executive coverage.

Our team supports the entire benefits lifecycle: carrier comparisons, plan design and funding options, renewal strategy, employee education, open enrollment, new hires and terminations, billing and eligibility issues, Section 125/COBRA/ACA coordination, and year-round claims advocacy. We stay involved after enrollment, giving employers and employees responsive, experienced help when coverage problems arise.

In 2020, SSGI acquired Pace Thomas Benefit Services, adding more than 30 years of established Maryland benefits experience. Today, we combine that service tradition with modern strategy and technology. Based in Baltimore and serving Harford County businesses, SSGI makes benefits easier to understand, manage, and use.
