For more than two centuries, McComas Family Funeral Homes has remained committed to walking alongside families during life's most meaningful moments. The organization looks forward to continuing its tradition of compassionate service for generations to come.
**Bel Air, Md.** — For the first time in the McComas family's remarkable 218-year history, McComas Family Funeral Homes proudly participated in the Bel Air Fourth of July Parade with a custom-designed float celebrating its enduring commitment to the community.
As the nation commemorates America's 250th anniversary, the McComas family reflected on its own milestone—218 years of serving generations of families throughout Harford County and beyond. The debut float was a tribute to that legacy and the deep connections built with the communities they have been honored to serve since 1808.
The float earned **Third Place** in the parade, a recognition made possible through the dedication of many individuals. Special appreciation is extended to Holly and Greg McComas for the countless hours spent designing and constructing the float, Charlie Emge for his exceptional artistic vision, and the McComas Family Funeral Homes team members who generously volunteered their time and talents to bring the project to life.
"We are incredibly grateful for the warm reception we received along the parade route," said the McComas family. "To everyone who waved, cheered, and shared words of encouragement, thank you. Your support means more than you know."
The family also expressed gratitude that the parade concluded just before summer storms moved through the area, making for a memorable and successful celebration.
