- Key Roles:
- Design and implement supply chain strategies aligning with the company's goals
- Optimize logistics, procurement, and inventory management to improve efficiency and reduce costs
- Identify, select, and maintain relationships with suppliers and negotiate contracts, pricing, and terms
- Monitor supplier performance and ensure compliance with quality standards
- Oversee the acquisition of raw materials, parts, or finished goods while ensuring on-time delivery and cost-effective procurement
- Maintain proper stock levels and avoid shortages or excess inventory
- Manage transportation, warehousing, and distribution of goods
- Ensure on-time delivery to customers and production sites
- Monitor and control inventory levels across the supply chain
- Use forecasting tools to predict demand and avoid overstock or stockouts
- Analyze supply chain data to identify inefficiencies and opportunities for improvement
- Prepare reports on supply chain performance [Key Performance Indicators (KPIs), cost analysis, delivery times, etc.]
- Develop contingency plans and alternative sourcing strategies
- Ensure supply chain practices meet environmental and ethical standards while also complying with regulations related to trade, safety, and labor
- Experience with bonded inventory programs reducing lead time and improve inventory turns
- Lead cost reduction initiatives with suppliers and secured customer approvals for savings
- Manage quoting for new projects, including pricing strategy and vendor collaboration
- Experience implementing and maintaining Material Requirements Planning (MRP) systems, including writing procedures for International Organization for Standardization (ISO) certification
- Serve as Lead Auditor for internal ISO audits, improving audit procedures
- Basic Qualifications:
- Associate’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, Industrial Engineering, or a related field or equivalent experience
- +3 years of demonstrated experience in an equivalent or similar role
- Demonstrated experience using an Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system
- Demonstrated experience with ISO 9001:2015 or other industry-specify quality systems
- Maintain highly organized and detailed records
- Ability to operate material handling equipment (i.e. forklifts, pallet jacks, etc.)
- Strong proficiency with Microsoft Office tools
- Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, Industrial Engineering, or a related field
- Certification such as: Production and Inventory Management (APICS CPIM), Certified Supply Chain Professional (CSCP), Certified Professional in Supply Management (ISM CPSM), Project Management Professional (PMP)
- +6 years of demonstrated experience in an equivalent or similar role
- Hands-on experience with production line support and troubleshooting
